My favourite time of the year.

It was one of those march days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold:
when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade. ~Charles Dickens

A Daisy from my Valentine

So two weeks before Valentines day my boyfriend of 3 years, the man who I thought was the one, told me he didn't love me anymore. That was it, pretty depressing huh?

Then an angel came to save me, in the form of my beautiful 3 year old niece, Daisy.

On Valentines day I decided to take Daisy out on a date. After all, celebrating St. Valentine is all about spending time with the ones you love. And Daisy sure proved to me you don't have to spend lots of money on an overpriced set-menu and pretend you love your boyfriend more on that one certain day of the year.

Lost & Found

I know I know, Ive been so slack! Blaming my hardcore job is no excuse.
So by popular demand I'm posting a selection of my derelict projects.

My love for derelict buildings began while I was studying photography at university. Myself and a group of friends stumbled across some derelict factories in Park Royal. After shooting some of the beautiful photographs, stumbling across buildings turned into researching, locating and stealthily breaking into some of the most secure buildings in the country.

Here are some of my favourites...

I have literally thousands of derelict photographs so I will post more soon!

I recommend visiting my friends Website
His photos are simply inspiring!

Meeting of Styles

So after moving back to London and 3 months of internet hell, I'm finally back!
I have lots of new photographs documenting my new start in London and I would like to kick it off with "Meeting of Styles".

“International Meeting of Styles” is an global network of aerosol artists and aficionados. Brought together and inspired by a passion for graffiti, MOS aims to create a forum for the international art community to communicate, assemble, and exchange ideas, work and skills. In the spirit of cooperation and promotion, MOS has developed a worldwide calendar of events in sixteen different countries, working with local organisations to produce exciting annual productions.

I accidentally found a flyer for their London event, held in Highbury, underneath some newly developed tower blocks.

I bet your wandering why I decided to document an art event in black and white?

I wanted to make an emphasis  and document the artists creating and developing their work, rather than the work itself. Don't get me wrong, the work deserves colour, however I think this experiment works to some effect.

If you are into graffiti or not, I would definitely reccomemend having a look at any Meeting of Styles event. I was so impressed by the work. Watching each production grow and develop was simply facsinating.

Pieces of Eight!

I ventured to Porlock to look for Pirates.

Quite famously Porlock has been a victim to pirates en route to Bristol throughout history.
Upon arrival, there were no sign of pirates. Only a vintage fashion shop called Pieces of eight.

It happened to be one of the hottest days in summer, so a pint of cider at the local pub was the best idea. Most of these photographs taken were from the view of the pub garden.

Best pub garden ever in my vote!

Obby Oss

I went half way across the West country to go to the Padstow mayday festival, took 5 rolls of film and dropped them all in a puddle.

Typically, the only photographs I could salvage weren't of the parade.

What a BUM.
